This is the description of “Alien Rescue Episode I”, the first masterpiece of the RomBots Team, a shoot-em up game for Android with nice 2D graphics, a bunch of weapons, power-ups and achievements and a funny and addictive gameplay. We all played games while growing up, some played more, some less. All that experience accumulated and made our imagination go wild. Basically, we get together and start putting ideas in a document, therefore creating the idea of the game. Then, using our combined gaming experience and imagination, while trying to make the game real fun and with unique characteristics, we expand the theme and basic idea with many interesting features. Of course, existing games also provide a certain level of inspiration, but we never try to clone anything.

As a pick-up and play game, Alien Rescue is quite fun. There’s a nice learning curve, with the first few levels being fairly easy and quickly escalating in difficulty.

The graphics are well done, giving that colorful cartoony feel you’re used to from casual games. Opponents and power-ups are distinguished from background elements by a slightly thicker black outline that gets the point across without being distracting.

We’ve also been experienceing some problems with a few certain smartphone models and an update is in the works to adress these issues.

About Alien Rescue – Episode 1
Fresh & new Game Development team from Romania, RomBots Team is delighted to present you Alien Rescue – Episode 1. The first in a series of three, our game is a top down shooter, where the roles are reversed: you are the alien out on a mission to rescue his friends marooned on the weird and strange planet Earth.

Alien Rescue features impressive 2d style graphics with great art direction and special effects. Battle your way through 6 levels on 3 difficulties of a developing Story Mode and alternatively take up the Free Mode challenge, where you face incoming waves of angry natives.

Use the tractor beam to pick up fellow aliens, but also cows and crates, and hurl them out at those trying to stop you. The game features over 10 distinct weapons and power-ups, from classics such as The Gatling Gun, Missiles and Laser Beam to the more exotic EMP, Explosive Cow and Weapon Steal.

The Game is compatible with a wide range of Android devices starting with Android 2.1, with an iOS version planned for future release. Alien Rescue – Episode 1 will be invading your smartphones starting October 25, 2011.
